To leverage the experience and customer contacts developed in Italy, OneWedge started in 2023 its international expansion, forging strong partnerships with experienced executives to establish a beach-head in Germany.

Our focus is the provision of Plaza-based Charging-As-A-Service solutions to logistics and parcel delivery companies both for Light Commercial Vehicles and Heavy Commercial Vehicles, with the first pilot project due go live in Germany by the end of 2025.

What are Charge-As-A-Service contracts?

Switching your fleet to electric is a no-brainer for most logistics and transportation companies: the benefits both from an ESG perspective, but also economic are overwhelming. The remaining challenge however is how to charge this fleet.

Depot charging, night charging, transit charging options are to be evaluated within constraints such as the availability of parking space and investment budget, and solving the riddle can be challenging.

Enter OneWedge with its Electric Plazas.

Electric Plazas are either parking lots or drive-through stations equipped with high-availability charging systems, dedicated to the use of commercial fleets and developed in the immediate proximity of the clients warehouses, so that vehicles are fully charged and ready for the execution of the next day’s or immediate transportation services.

OneWedge completely supports the investment for the land acquisition and the design, installation, electrical supply and overall maintenance of the plant, while the Client pays for its use a fee that’s competitive with the cost of traditional (diesel) transportation. A true turnkey Charge-As-A-Service solution.
